Werewolf: The Apocalypse & Necromunda: Underhive Wars Announced by Publisher Focus Home

Publisher Focus Home Interactive announced this week that they’re bringing both Werewolf: The Apocalypse and Necromunda: Underhive Wars to consoles and PC.

Developed by Cyanide Studio (Blood Bowl, Styx: Master of Shadows), and set in the World of Darkness universe (Vampire The Masquerade, Werewolf, Mage Ascension), Werewolf: The Apocalypse is an RPG that sees you becoming a werewolf, known as Garou. “Garou are Werewolf warriors opposed to urban civilization and supernatural corruption, all heading towards inevitable apocalypse,” the description adds.

Focus Home President Cédric Lagarrigue said:

We are pleased to partner with White Wolf to bring Werewolf: The Apocalypse to life in a video game for consoles and PC. We are excited to work on the World of Darkness universe, as this is formidable playground to tell the players a great story. We are also happy to partner with Cyanide Studio in this adventure – they are behind the original wish to adapt this universe, and we are faithful in their ability to create a game that will please both fans of World of Darkness and newcomers.

As for Necromunda: Underhive Wars, it’s a turn-based tactical RPG adaption of the tabletop game Necroumunda, and is set in the Warhammer 40K universe. Developed by Rogue Factor (Mordheim: City of the Damned), the story sees rival gangs of ruthless warriors locked in an endless war for control of the Underhive, a gigantic warren of derelict factories, rusted metal husks, and forgotten technologies.

Games Workshop’s Jon Gillard said:

We are delighted to welcome Necromuda: Underhive Wars to the catalogue of great games based on our worlds and settings. Rogue Factor and Focus Home Interactive made a wonderful Mordheim: City of the Damned game and having done such a great job they’re clearly the right people to realize the nightmarish world of Necromunda. Now fans of this unique and highly influential IP will at last be able to pick up their stubber and search for cool archaeotech whilst wiping out rival gangs throughout the Underhive.

Neither game has a release window yet.

Expect to hear more on each title at Focus Home’s What’s Next event in Paris on February 1 and 2.
