If you’ve yet to play Steep, Ubisoft has announced that they’ll be hosting a free weekend beginning on Friday, March 10 at 10am PT/1pm ET on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The free weekend will end at 10am PT/1pm ET on Monday, March 13 for PS4 and PC players, while Xbox One players will have until 11:59pm PT on March 13.
When the free weekend kicks off, you can download the client from the Steep product page on the PlayStation Store (North America, Europe). Since you’re getting access to the full game, as well as the post-launch updates, expect to find a big download. Ubisoft adds that a PlayStation Plus membership is required.
Also beginning on March 10, Steep will be 50% off and the Steep Gold Edition will be 40% off through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Games Store, and Ubisoft’s Store. These deals will expire on March 20 (PS4), March 14 (Ubisoft), and March 13 (Xbox One). “And if you decide you want to keep playing after the trial period is over, you can transfer your progress to the full game,” Ubisoft says.
Here’s the description for Steep:

Developed by Ubisoft Annecy, Steep is designed for a culture that’s all about sharing experiences with the world. Steep features seamless multiplayer, populating the world with players as they naturally explore the Alps and Alaska regions. Players and friends across the globe can take on challenges together or compete with each other to snag the top spot on the leaderboards.
