The remake of cult-classic survival horror game White Day: A Labyrinth Named School has just been announced as a console-exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and will be released this August, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.
Here’s a short overview of the game:
It’s the story of new Yeondoo High School student Hui-min Lee, who finds himself trapped in school overnight and chased by possessed killers and malevolent ghosts.
Developed by Korean developer ROI Games and originally released for the PC in 2001, White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is a first-person survival horror game that features puzzles, resource-based health and save mechanics, stealth and adventure elements, and more.
According to the post, the studio has remade the White Day “from top to bottom” including overhauling the graphics and audio, reworking the game’s mechanics, as well as added a new character and storyline. The developers have also localized the game in other languages apart from English including French, Spanish, Italian, German and Russian.
There isn’t an exact release date for White Day yet but, as previously mentioned, it is set to come out sometime in August later this year.
