With Io-Interactive’s announcement that the studio is going full-on independent and retaining the rights to the Hitman IP, it seems Io-Interactive is already forging ahead with its plans for the franchise right away.
In a tweet over on its official Twitter account, Io-Interactive announced that gamers can play the beginning parts of Hitman for free on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC! Yep, no strings attached, no newsletter or whatever to sign up! Just download it on PS4 (PSN link) and voila!
What’s included in the freebie version? Here’s what’s listed in the video description on YouTube:

There’s so many ways to take on this single mission, part of the fun will be seeing other players’ creative ways that they assassinate the targets. If you’ve ever wanted to play the part of a super agent in a large sandbox, this is as good as it gets. With a fairly robust content creation engine, and future missions promised throughout the coming year, it looks like Hitman will be the weapon of choice of stealth gamers for the foreseeable future.
