Redout PS4

Watch Nearly 30 Minutes of Redout PS4 Pro Gameplay

34BigThings’ futuristic racing game Redout is set to release August 29, but players that are interested in the WipEout-inspired game won’t have to wait that long to get a good look at the PlayStation 4 version.

Due to Best Buy accidentally selling Redout early, one of PlayStation LifeStyle’s readers was able to grab a copy. Jeremiah recorded nearly 30 minutes of gameplay footage of the futuristic racing game running on his PS4 Pro, and shared it with us. If you’re interested in checking out how Redout runs on PS4 Pro compared to the PC release, you’ll want to check out the footage.

Additionally, here’s how the developer describes the PS4 port:

Redout is a tribute to the classic racing monsters. It is designed to be an uncompromising, fast, tough and satisfying driving experience, soaked in that vertigo that stands at the core of the arcade racing genre. The floating system and driving models are based on physics: Every slope, hard-brake, acceleration, and each turn and twist of the track will apply a unique force to the ship. A sharp low-polygon style blends meshes and terrains with the latest state-of-the-art shading and lighting effects provided by the Unreal Engine 4, creating beautiful and instantly recognizable aesthetics. The melancholic, dystopian atmosphere of a semi-abandoned Earth is the background for the most high-speed, tense and beautiful futuristic racing clashes, across breezy coastlines, eerie frozen landscapes and vast desert plains.

Thank you to our reader Jeremiah for sending the footage our way. It’s always great for players to get a better glimpse at a game before it’s officially out, and now players will know what to expect thanks to his Redout PS4 Pro footage.

Redout releases on consoles on August 29. It released on PC in September of last year.
