As promised from last week’s teaser, Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed the third Summer Lesson character Chisato Shinjo through the latest Weekly Famitsu magazine. Chisato, who will be voiced by Marie Hatanaka, is a brand-new character added to the series after the first character Hikari Miyamoto had been shown since the game’s first reveal in 2014, and the second character Allison Snow was introduced at E3 2015.
Ryokutya has also provided a bit more information about Chisato that would be difficult to read from the small official preview scan provided by Famitsu. According to the blog, Chisato is the only daughter of a wealthy family. Although she is smart and can learn things, she has a rather selfish and nihilistic personality. It is also implied that Chisato rarely, if ever, goes outside, so she hires the player as her private teacher to teach her about common practices and trends in the outside society.
As with the first two characters, Summer Lesson: Chisato Shinjo will come with optional extra DLC costumes and scenes. The two EX scene DLCs for her will be titled Evening Youth Story and Ballad Show Story respectively. There is also a Deluxe version which is pricier than the regular edition but will have exclusive bonuses such as a PS4 theme featuring a cutely deformed Chisato.
Summer Lesson: Chisato Shinjo – Seven Days of Etude, which is exclusive to PlayStation VR, will be available for purchase in Japan on October 12. As of this information batch, the game is currently 90% complete. It will be also shown at Bandai Namco’s booth at Tokyo Game Show 2017 on September 21-24.
