Major video game releases transcend the gaming calendar. They become cultural touchstones, and become events that last far longer than the midnight launches around the globe. It’s why players feel compelled to buy a game at launch, even if they know a better experience will be awaiting them down the line. If you’re not playing a major release then you’ll feel like you’re missing out on something bigger than just a game, as you’re also missing out on all of the conversation that surrounds it.
That’s why the question we posed in this week’s Now Loading was “Are you playing Destiny 2?”
Check out the gallery below to find out what the staff answered:
Now that you’ve seen our answers, we’d love to see hear your answer. Feel free to chime in below with your answer to the question. We’d love to know if you’re playing Destiny 2, and what you think about Bungie’s latest first-person shooter!
We’re always looking for suggestions for our next Now Loading. If you’ve got a good one then let us know via email (or leave a comment below), and we might feature it next week. If we do, we’ll make sure to include a special thank you to the sender!

Are You Playing Destiny 2?
-
Anthony Nash
As someone who punt almost 300 hours into the original Destiny before hopping off the Bungie train, I can safely say that I’m right back in my seat and have been playing Destiny 2 all week. They’ve improved a lot of the story from the first game and fine-tuned a lot of the problems that the last game had in it. I look forward to my next 200 hours of grinding.

In two words? Hell yes. My wife is pretty close to disowning me at this point. I have about 25 hours in over the past 4 days and look forward to MANY more in he coming weeks. Now if you will excuse me, I have some raid gear go grind for...

I buckled under the pressure and picked it up. So far, it's not bad. I like the story, but it hasn't really hooked me in.

Chandler Wood
Chandler is unavailable to reply to this week's Now Loading. He's too busy playing Destiny 2. He'd write how much he's enjoying it, except that's what the review is for, and you better believe there is quite the review coming.

I always toy with the idea of finally trying out Destiny, but nothing ever goes beyond the idea. Same thing is going on for Destiny 2, but I have too much in my stack of shame to even think about trying another game I may or may not like.

Loved the first game enough to play it at least once a week since it launched, and am now deep into Destiny 2, so please quit asking me questions because I really need to get ready for the raid.

Picked it up at release and have only played around 2-3 hours, but really enjoying it so far. Gunplay is solid and a ton of fun, plus I actually feel more invested in the story this time around. The Homecoming opening was fantastic, so yeah, Destiny 2 definitely has its hooks in me.

Nope. Just like the last game, I played a bit of the beta and that was enough for me. The series just doesn't seem to grab me, even though it reads on paper like something I might like.

No Destiny 2 for me. Not really due to a lack of interest, as I do want to play it, I just don't really have the time right now. I'm still trying to catch up with many of August's great releases, and since I've seen so many people complain about crashing, I'll probably just wait for a few extra patches to hit before I jump in.

I honestly can't bring myself to buy Destiny. It just doesn't appeal to me. I've watched all these videos and read all these articles but it still doesn't do anything for me. Now if someone lends me a copy, I'd be more than willing to try it again but I also played a little bit of the original and didn't like it so not sure if that'll change.
