A new entry in Sony’s SingStar series was announced at E3 2017, and now we have some additional information on the PlayLink karaoke title. The biggest news we have is that the singing game will launch October 24. That’s the same day as Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games’ Hidden Agenda, so it looks to be a banner day for PlayLink games (which are PS4 titles that players use their smartphones to play). We also know it’ll include 30 songs in total, although more will be able to be purchased as DLC.
Here’s how Sony describes the upcoming PlayLink title in their long running party game series over at the PlayStation Blog:
There’s a SingStar party over here… and everyone’s invited. The latest from our friends at London Studios, SingStar Celebration features 30 hit tracks from current to classic. Grab your smartphone, join your friends, and belt out the biggest hits and pumping party classics.
Share your epic singing moments by uploading videos and photos to the SingStar community and social media. Check out the SingStore for hundreds of extra songs to purchase and add to your collection. If it’s your birthday, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or even just a Saturday night — SingStar Celebration is the perfect playlist to any party.
SingStar Celebration is set to release October 24 exclusively on PlayStation 4, and will be a PlayLink title that can be played using your smartphone so no microphone is required. It will cost $19.99, and will be receiving a physical release.
