Destiny 2 Player Count Passes 1.3 Million Concurrent Users

Destiny 2 is off to one of the hottest starts in all of gaming, and it looks like that start will only continue on. In a post on their blog this morning celebrating the launch of the games latest raid, Bungie revealed just how many people were playing the shooter, and it is astounding.

In the blog post, Deej, the community manager for Destiny, ended things off by thanking players for playing the game, and revealed that the highest watermark for concurrent players – that is, the amount of people online at the same time – is now over 1.3 million.

That number somehow beats the previous high of 1.2 million, which was set last week. It seems like the popularity of the game can only rise as more people continue to buy it, and when the PC version of the game releases, that popularity is sure to skyrocket.

In other Destiny 2 news, Xur is back in the game, hanging out on Nessus and waiting to sell you gear, Bungie recently opened up about the gauntlet hate symbol that was removed from the game, Trials of the Nine launched today, and the Leviathan Raid was completed in just under six hours from its release.

Destiny 2 is now out on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
