New Assassin’s Creed Origins Details Emerge After Twitter Q&A

With the release of Assassin’s Creed Origins fast approaching, more details on the game are coming out. Last week, the game director of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed took to Twitter to answer some fan questions regarding the game.

In the impromptu Q&A session (via NeoGAF), Ismail answered various questions from fans, and seemed to confirm a couple of details about Origins. According to Ismail, the game will feature multiple saves, allowing users to create different files in the game. The director also confirmed that the newly added Discovery Tour mode will have a voiced narration in it, which should add some depth and knowledge to the educational mode.

Players will also be able to unlock all skills in the characters skill tree, per Ismail. This will no doubt please fans who might be concerned about having to choose which ability to unlock first. Of course, no modern game would be complete without a photo mode, and Assassin’s Creed Origins will have one as well.

My Assassin’s Creed Origins demo began with the protagonist Bayek talking to his wife, Aya. The two are both loyal to their queen, Cleopatra, but this devotion seems to have caused a rift between the two. Bayek is worried that they never have time to spend together, and that she values the queen more than him. “What has she done for you that I have not?” asks Bayek, despite knowing deep down that his questioning wouldn’t have any real impact on her conviction.

The reason they’re together today is to investigate a sick Apis, a bull that’s worshipped in the Memphis region of Egypt. The sacred animal is recognized as the son of Hathor, the Egyptian goddess that personified motherhood, and was periodically sacrificed and reborn in order to worship her. So, this is not a mere sickly animal, but an investigation of a deity. As such, it was important that I figured out what was going on.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will release October 27 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
