During a Tokyo Game Show 2018 stream, a wild variety of new content was announced for Final Fantasy XV, in the form of multiple crossovers with other properties. Three properties are involved here, which are Terra Battle, Tomb Raider, and Sengoku Action Puzzle DJ Nobunaga. The first one in particular is important, as it seems to be coming in the form of additional story content.
Terra Battle, if you don’t already know, is a mobile strategy RPG from Mistwalker, the company run by ex-Square Enix Producer and Final Fantasy Co-Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. In this collaboration, Noctis teams up with Sara, a character from the series. It’s worth noting that Terra Battle 2 was shut down within the first year of its release in North America, but the first game remains running and ostensibly popular.
With Tomb Raider, not only will costumes from Shadow of the Tomb Raider appear in Comrades mode, but there will also be new music for the Regalia available from the series.
Finally, the DJ Nobunaga crossover brings new cosmetic items, perhaps some kind of minigame as pictured above, and remxed music from Bemani’s DJ Yoshitaka.
This content is dropping on September 25, 2018 in Japan, but it’s not yet clear if it’s coming to all regions.
