Rainbow Six Siege Discount on Year One Operators Starts Tomorrow

Ubisoft announced that it’s running a bit of a promotion for Rainbow Six: Siege. Starting September 25, 2018, all of the year one Operators will be on sale. This sale will last until March 4, 2019, so the playerbase will have quite a bit of time to take advantage.

For the duration of the sale, the following Operators will be available for 360 R6 Credits/15,000 Renown each, down from 600 R6 Credits/25,000 Renown:

Buck

Capitao

Caveira

Echo

Frost

Hibana

Valkyrie

This big discount follows the release of Rainbow Six: Siege‘s latest season, Operation Grim Sky. This is the third season of the third year, and it launched earlier in September 2018.

Operation Grim Sky primarily brought the launch of two new Operators, Marverick of the United States and Clash of Great Britain. Maverick’s unique ability is a blowtorch that can breach all manner of surfaces, but requires precision and skill to use effectively. Clash’s unique ability is a bulletproof shield that doubles as her primary weapon. With the shield, she’s able to not only prevent damage, but also emit a pulse that will slow down enemies and damage them over time.

In addition to the new Operators and some new cosmetic items and weapon skins, Operation Grim Sky also introduced the first in a planned series of map reworks, starting with one of the game’s very first maps, the Hereford Base.
