Rumor: Harry Potter RPG Footage Leaks From Focus Group

The internet is ablaze this morning as what appears to be leaked footage of an unannounced Harry Potter RPG has appeared on YouTube. According to the Reddit poster who dropped it, this footage, assuming for a moment it’s real, has allegedly come from a focus group and is even accompanied by some marketing literature and a key features list.

Set in the 19th Century (1800’s) Wizarding World, this 3rd person open-world action RPG game centers around your character with unique abilities who has eared a late acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You are a newly arrived 5th year student to Hogwarts that demonstrates a latent gift for magic with a unique ability to track and identify remnants of a pottant [sic] ancient power. Upon arrival, strange events begin to materialize In [sic] the Forbidden Forrest [sic] and trouble begins to brew within the castle walls. Together with Professor Elezar Fig, you embark on a journey through both familiar and never before seen locations to bring to light the truth behind these mysterious occurrences. We have no idea which developer is supposedly behind this (although current speculation is aimed at Avalanche Software), nor do we know what platforms might be involved. That’s all part of the fun with stuff like this.
