Blizzard Entertainment has released its schedule for BlizzCon 2018, an annual gaming convention used to promote itsIPs and celebrate the community. The opening week runs from October 25–29, 2018, with the main events happening on Friday, November 2, 2018 and Saturday, November 3, 2018. As usual, this year’s BlizzCon is packed with panels, esports events, series spotlights, and community nights.
Both Friday and Saturday include matches from the Overwatch World Cup, as well as competitive Hearthstone, World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm, and Starcraft II. And of course, there are plenty of panels.
Friday’s scheduled is filled with Blizzard looking to the future, featuring a few “What’s Next” panels for games such as Overwatch and Diablo. BlizzCon also gives folks a being the scenes look at what’s happening at Blizzard, with the “Behind Blizzard’s Music” panel being just one example.
Saturday fans can get insight into the voice acting in Overwatch, as well as how heroes are made. A Diablo Q&A panel allows attendees to steer the conversation. And the “Play Nice; Play Fair” panel gives players a chance to “learn more about how [Blizzard is] using machine learning and social feature design to empower Blizzard player communities to have the most epic experiences ever.”
Tickets for BlizzCon 2018 have sold out, but you can still get tickets for the opening week’s esports events here. You can catch a lot of the action by purchasing a virtual ticket to unlock access to live coverage of developer events and community events taking place on all stages minus the esports events. Virtual tickets cost $49.99 and can be purchased here.
