Based on a set of alleged video game motion capture/voice acting casting calls, the rumor mill is pointing to Bully 2 as Rockstar Games‘ next project, following the soon to release Red Dead Redemption 2. This report comes from Rockstar Intel, which calls the information rumor as well, but “very likely at that.”
The information about the casting call comes from casting director Jessica Jefferies, and of course the information is as deliberately vague as it gets. There are seven in total, attributed to an unannounced video game from a “leading UK games developer,” to be recorded at Pinewood Studios, which is located in London.
The calls have placeholder character names, and are mostly for younger roles. There is a warning of sorts applied to them as well, quoted below:
Mild violence and profanity will be used in scenes with the young performer. The project itself is a thriller/drama and all scenes with the young performer will be handled with sensitivity.
We found the casting calls on Twitter as well, which come straight from Jefferies. Her initial tweet about the listings was retweeted by an animator at Rockstar (although other industry professionals did as well), and she also tweeted each call individually. Many of them are for young people in their 20s, but one is also for a college professor.
Castings just released for new Unannounced video game title with leading UK games developer, shooting at Pinewood Studios.
