Reddit user RacingGameGuru0300 has unearthed from The Crew 2‘s update files what seems to be the next chapter in the franchise. Since the files were named The Crew 2: Orlando, dataminers assumed that they were looking at The Crew 2‘s DLC, but known insider and reliable leaker Tom Henderson claims Project Orlando is a codename for the next title that’s reportedly set in Hawaii.
RacingGameGuru0300 shared a set of images on Imgur, which have been taken down at the time of this writing. We’re assuming Ubisoft wasn’t happy about the leak and nuked them. Nevertheless, here’s what we know so far.
The Crew: Orlando will include something called an “All Star” game mode, but it’s unclear what that is. According to Henderson, Orlando is a “completely new game with a new driving engine.” Ubisoft reportedly wasn’t happy with The Crew 2, so it’s overhauling everything. The project is currently in pre-alpha state, and there’s no set release date.

The game is not actually The Crew 2 DLC. It’s currently just dubbed as “The Crew: Orlando” and is a completely new game with a new driving engine. Currently in pre-Alpha & no set release date.

I’m not sure. From what I’ve heard is that they weren’t happy with The Crew 2 are and just overhauling everything… So it’s a possibility.

The Crew 2 released in 2018 to mixed reviews. Its PlayStation 4 version holds a score of 64 on Metacritic.
