Knockout City is currently only available to play on PlayStation 5 by downloading the PS4 version and playing via backwards compatibility. That looks set to change soon if a new Knockout City PS5 trophy list on Exophase is anything to go by. Its appearance seems to suggest that a native PS5 version will be arriving relatively soon.
Neither developer Velan Studios nor publisher EA have said anything about a new-gen version of Knockout City, let alone when it will be arriving. The latest game blog instead explained what players can expect from the second week of Basketbrawl, a new mode introduced when Season 3 began last week. There’s a full list of daily playlists, new weekly contract rewards, and a Rare Outfit—Cyber Detective—will arrive in the Brawl Shop on Friday, October 15.
Those who haven’t tried Knockout City yet can do so for free until they reach Street Rank 25, at which point you’ll then have to pay for the game to continue. At the moment, the PS4 version is on sale at 50% off on the PlayStation Store. However, as we don’t know whether there will be any free next-gen upgrades for PS4 players, those with their hearts set on playing the native PS5 version may want to wait before making that purchase.
For now, we do know the PS5 version will have an identical trophy list to the PS4 version. This means there’ll be a total of 51 trophies including the Platinum trophy. It’s unknown if Trophies earned in the PS4 version will automatically unlock in the PS version. You can see the full list below.
