Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will soon be getting new content called Tombs of the Fallen. As spotted by Twitter user @AccessTheAnimus (and brought to our attention by Eurogamer), two new trophies have been added to the game’s list and they’re linked to either an update or additional DLC.
The new trophies task players with completing one and three Tombs of the Fallen. There are no tombs in the game so far. AccessTheAnimus believe the trophies are linked to the Odin Runes that are scattered throughout the game. While players have been speculating on their meaning, Narrative Director Darby McDevitt has already confirmed they’re part of a mystery players “cannot fully solve yet” suggesting they’re part of future content that’s yet to be added to the game.
A new set of trophies has been added to #AssassinsCreed Valhalla and it seems to involve an upcoming piece of content called “Tombs of the Fallen”!
Considering it involves at least three tombs to explore, could this be the official name for the Odin Runes dedicated content? pic.twitter.com/uSDIyAlx19

Ubisoft is yet to make any announcement for the content. As such, we’re not sure if they’ll be linked to a free content update or whether it will be premium DLC. However, due to Valhalla now being “the second largest profit generating game” in Ubisoft’s history, Ubisoft revealed they had another year of content planned for the game. They even placed special emphasis on the second half of the current fiscal year, which is any content they will release before the end of March 2022.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has already received a full year of free and premium content. The latest was the addition of the free Discovery Tour: Viking Age expansion that took players on a combat-free tour of Discovery Sites around the country, focusing on the environment and history of the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. There were also two sizeable expansions released as part of the game’s Season Pass. The first of those, Wrath of the Druids, sent Eivor to Ireland as he attempted to track and locate the members of a druidic cult. This was then followed by The Siege of Paris, where Eivor headed to war torn Francia to dispel a threat to the Raven clan.
With the Trophies now added, it shouldn’t be too much longer before we hear more from Ubisoft about this.
