PlayStation classic “anti-RPG” Moon, as well as dark-fantasy shooting game Black Bird is releasing for the PS4 and PS5 in December. Onion Games announced that the two titles will be available for purchase in the PS Store on December 16, 2021. Users can also currently wishlist Moon and Black Bird on PSN.
Moon (Moon: Remix RPG Adventure) was previously announced as heading to the two consoles back in September, though without a confirmed release date. Originally released in 1997 for the PlayStation, the game became a cult classic due to its satirization of classic JRPG tropes. Rather than killing monsters as the hero a la Dragon Quest, Moon instead puts players in the shoes of a boy who saves the monsters of Moon World using love. The game never saw a worldwide release until Onion Games re-released Moon for the Nintendo Switch in 2019 and 2020.
