Developer Ember Lab and publishing partner Maximum Games have announced that Kena: Bridge of Spirits‘ physical version will release tomorrow, November 19th, just in time for the holidays. A $49.99 Deluxe Edition will be available at retail, which will come with the game’s digital soundtrack, a retail exclusive physical sticker sheet, digital in-game silver staff, golden Rot character skin exclusive, and unique celebration hats for the Rot.
“One of this year’s most talked-about games, this story-driven action-adventure seamlessly blends a compelling narrative with exploration, puzzle-solving, and fast-paced combat,” Maximum Games said in a press release. “The result is a beautiful, immersive journey that the press and public alike have called ‘magical,’ ‘compelling,’ and ‘breathtaking.'”
Kena has already recouped its development costs, and Ember Lab told Bloomberg late last month that Sony seems happy with its performance (the game is currently PlayStation console exclusive).
Make sure to our review of Kena, if you haven’t already. For the uninitiated, here’s an official overview of the title:
This gorgeous adventure takes players on a journey of self-discovery as Kena restores balance to an ancient village in a once-thriving environment. Players take on the role of Kena, a young Spirit Guide, on a quest to uncover the mysterious story surrounding the demise of the village. Using her staff and the help of her collection of tiny companions known as the Rot, the player will disarm adversaries, unlock new skills, uncover secrets, and restore the beauty of the land.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is also available on PC.
