Ubisoft has announced that it will extend the Yule Festival in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla due to bugs preventing players from accessing the event. Additionally, it states that a fix for the issues will likely release sometime after the new year. There is currently no confirmation on how long Ubisoft plans to extend the event.
The Yule Festival event is a limited-time event that appeared in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla around the same time last year. The event rewarded players with special seasonal cosmetic items, as well as Yule-themed activities at the settlement. However, players have been reporting various bugs and issues associated with this year’s festivities. Others have reported missing rewards. Bafflingly, some players have even stated that the entire festival doesn’t show up in their game after updating to the latest version.
In response, the official Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Twitter account stated that they were working to resolve the Yule Festival issue. While the team is looking to extend the festival event beyond its intended January 6 end date, however, Ubisoft won’t be able to deliver any fixes until after the holiday season. Truly a bummer for those looking to enjoy the holiday event during, well, the holidays.
We're working to resolve the issue preventing players from accessing the Yule Festival and will be extending the event so everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the winter festivities. We plan to deliver this fix in early January due to the holidays. Thank you for your patience.

The news comes a day after outlets reported that several key members of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Far Cry 6 development team left the company. The latest wave of departures is so significant, in fact, that employees are internally referring to it as “the Great Exodus”.
