Call of Duty Vanguard Issues

Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Issues Are a Result of Poor Leadership, Says Dev

A few days ago, the official Call of Duty Twitter account issued a statement apologizing to fans about ongoing issues in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone. Furthermore, the company stated that they were actively working to fix these issues within the near future, and expressed appreciation towards player feedback.

However, a developer at Activision has called out the company for not communicating directly with its own employees. Notably, the QA employee claims that the ongoing issues in Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone are in fact directly related to the failures of Activision Blizzard’s leadership.

Call of Duty issues are a “direct result” of Activision’s “inability to lead responsibly”

“Striking employees have received countless similar emails also saying ‘we hear you, and we feel your frustrations’ yet leadership refuses to communicate directly with us,” says Kate Anderson, a QA member at Activision. For those unaware, Anderson is referencing the numerous times Activision employees have walked out in protest of the company’s layoffs, sexual misconduct allegations, and reported union-busting activities.

It’s no surprise that these walkouts as well as numerous high-profile departures may have affected the development of Call of Duty titles in recent years. And while employees are reportedly told that the company is working to improve itself, groups such as A Better ABK have stated that the publisher hasn’t changed much in the way of management. Just last month, the company reportedly laid off 30% of Call of Duty: Warzone‘s QA staff.

In other news, Techland has revealed that Dying Light 2 will get at least 5 years of DLC content. A PS5 version of free-to-play battle royale Apex Legends also seems to be on the way.
