PlayStation Plus February 2022

PlayStation Plus February 2022 Games Include UFC 4 and Planet Coaster

For the first time in several months, Sony has managed to announce the PS Plus games for the following month without them being leaked beforehand. The PlayStation Plus games for February 2022 are Planet Coaster: Console Edition on PS5, as well as EA Sports UFC 4 and Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure for PS4. These new games go live on Tuesday, February 1.

Three Upcoming PS Plus Titles

Planet Coaster: Console Edition tasks players with building and managing their own theme park. Players can build their ideal park from more than 700 pre-made objects, such as concessions, scenery and the rides themselves, of course. The park then needs to be managed to make sure visitors are entertained and profits are healthy. Players will also be able to share their creations with others and perhaps even grow a following. This PlayStation Plus freebie is only available on PlayStation 5; the PlayStation 4 version will not be offered as part of the PS Plus Instant Games Collection.

EA Sports UFC 4 is the latest in EA’s mixed martial arts series and it coes with improved stand-up gameplay, takedowns and ground mechanics. The Career Mode tracks a player’s progress from an unknown amateur fighter to becoming the next UFC superstar, while online modes like Blitz Battles and Online World Championships mean they can test their mettle against tougher opponents. Progress will be tracked across every mode.

Finally, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure was previously a DLC for Borderlands 2 but is now a standalone adventure too. Tiny Tina’s take on Dungeons & Dragons is called “Bunkers and Badasses” and it sends four vault hunters on a fantasy adventure through castles, dungeons, and magic forests. The difference is that the adventure can change on the whim of its dungeon master. This standalone is intended to prepare players for the impending release of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands in March, but the bad news is the game will only be available through PS Plus on PlayStation 4, not PlayStation 5.

For now, Deep Rock Galactic, DiRT 5,  and Persona 5 Strikers are the current PlayStation Plus titles available to download until January 31. Once claimed, all of the games will remain in your library as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus subscriber.

In other news, Crytek revealed they are in the early stages of development on Crysis 4, where players can be a hero on a new nano battlefield. Elsewhere, the latest in the Activision and Call of Duty saga suggests the next three Call of Duty games will be on PlayStation consoles but the future of the franchise after that is “hazy”.
