Battlefield 2042’s Scoreboard Update Has Been Delayed

Following the delay of Battlefield 2042‘s first season, DICE has announced that the game’s next update will not release in February as previously planned. Update 3.3 includes the highly-requested revamped scoreboard alongside other changes. The developer said that it needs more time to improve the quality of its patches.

When will Battlefield 2042 scoreboard update release?

DICE has not given a release date but has said that update 3.3 has been pushed into “early” March.

Fans are understandably unhappy about the delays but it’s evident that DICE has much work to do given the state of Battlefield 2042. Interestingly, although EA acknowledges that the game has failed to meet expectations, the publisher is hopeful that DICE will turn things around because that’s what the studio has a history of doing.

“As much as I hate to admit it, DICE’s the studio that has been able to do this a number of times now and really go back and rebuild at the core and reengage the community, as long as we do that in conjunction with a committee,” EA CEO Andrew Wilson said in a recent earnings call. “That’s what that studio was so great at doing.”

In other news, Microsoft says it’ll still be a smaller game company than Sony despite Activision acquisition, and Gran Turismo 7 has been further detailed ahead of launch.
