Square Enix and PlatinumGames have announced that Babylon’s Fall will get a demo for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Starting February 25th, you’ll be able to access the game’s opening and tutorial. Additionally, you’ll be able to hop onto its multiplayer with up to three other people. This news was announced during the game’s third official broadcast, translated by Gematsu.
Will Babylon’s Fall demo progress carry over?
Players’ save data from Babylon’s Fall demo version will carry over to the full game, should you wish to make a purchase, so don’t worry about starting over. PlatinumGames also announced Season 1 “Eternal Tower” Premium Battle Pass, which will be available for free. Babylon’s Fall’s seasons will follow a three-month cycle, during which the game will receive major updates as well as free and paid Battle Passes. Paid battle passes will allow players to earn premium rewards through gameplay. Only the first premium Battle Pass will be available for free.
The Battle Pass system will work by giving players a chance to earn Battle Points (BP) for tackling missions and quests spread out over various tiers. Free Battle Passes will include items that boost experience points and in-game currency earned. Players will be able to utilize in-game currency to purchase premium Battle Passes. Each premium Battle Pass will cost 1,000 GARAZ, which is what the in-game currency is called. Premium rewards include cosmetics, emotes, victory effects, and more.
Babylon’s Fall will release on March 3rd for PlayStation platforms as well as PC. Its Deluxe Edition comes with three-day early access. For the uninitiated, Babylon’s Fall is an action role-playing game in which players take on the Tower of Babel solo or with three other players in a fantasy setting.
In other news, Sloclap has confirmed that Sifu will receive difficulty and new accessibility options in the near future, and our review of Horizon Forbidden West is now live so make sure to check it out.
