Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has introduced cross-play between PS4 and PC players in the Season 6 mid-season update. The update also teased a brand new mode called Sweet Thieves and sorted out a short list of bug fixes and gameplay improvements.
Fall Guys Season 6 Mid-Season Update Patch Notes
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Season 6 mid-season update is available on PS4 and PC now. The main feature of the update is the addition of cross-play between PlayStation 4 and PC. While cross-platform lobbies had been available in custom shows, the update has enabled cross-play in all of the game’s playlists, including Squads, Duos, and Main Show. Once players have linked their Epic accounts to the game, the Invite Players option can be used to form a lobby with players from both platforms.
Other fixes and improvements in this update include improvements to carrying objects, fixes to certain levels, visual issues with costumes, unlock issues with the Stumble Chums and Big Bully trophies, and unexpected charges from rhinos. Mediatonic also teased a brand new mode coming soon to Fall Guys. Previously leaked as Invisibeans Placeholder in an image at the start of Season 6, Sweet Thieves splits players into two teams called Thieves and Guardians. Thieves are tasked with stealing candy from throughout the level, while Guardians must detain them and send them to jail. The catch is Thieves can be freed easily when another Thief presses the release button. Beans will also be able to walk in this mode rather than running all the time. More news is promised on this mode “very soon”.
In other news, updated artwork on the Resident Evil Portal has sparked rumors of a remaster of Resident Evil: CODE Veronica, Outbreak, and Outbreak File 2. Capcom is preparing a special message for fans on March 23 and this is when we’ll likely hear more news if the rumors are true. Elsewhere, BioWare has confirmed Dragon Age 4 is in the middle of production after the planning stage was completed at the end of 2021.
