Suicide Squad Delayed 2023

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is Confirmed to be Delayed Until 2023

Rumors started last month that the Suicide Squad game had been delayed out of 2022, but it’s taken until now for there to be any confirmation from Rocksteady. The studio’s Creative Director and co-founder Sefton Hill has said it was a “difficult decision” for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to be delayed but the game now has a 2023 release date.

When will Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League be released?

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be released in spring 2023. Hill said the extra time in development will be “going into making the best game we can” as he posted the briefest of reaction videos:

We’ve made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to Spring 2023. I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience.

The game was first revealed during DC Fandome in 2020 and was given a vague 2022 release window. The four-player co-op action-adventure shooter then went quiet until eventually resurfacing at DC Fandome last year. With just two trailers and very little else to show during that development time, Suicide Squad being delayed until 2023 is not terribly surprising. While several other Warner Bros. games have also been delayed along the way, we can at least look forward to Hogwarts Legacy and Gotham Knights this year.

In other news, Sony once again hinted that VRR will be making its way to PlayStation 5 consoles, although not until “the coming months“. The news came alongside the latest system software updates for PS5 and PS4 consoles, introducing features like open parties, voice commands, and improvements to the PlayStation app. Unfortunately the update temporarily brought PlayStation Network to its knees with players unable to verify their PS Plus membership. Those issues have now been resolved and PlayStation Network is back up and running.
