Lamar Johnson Rumored to be Playing Henry in HBO’s The Last of Us

The Last of Us TV series is still filming in Calgary, and recent photos have shown Sam and Henry have joined the show’s cast. While the actor for Sam is still unknown, rumors claim that Lamar Johnson (Your Honor, Kings, Native Son) will be the actor playing Henry in HBO’s The Last of Us show thanks to a combination of photos and social media connections.

Who is playing the different characters in The Last of Us TV show?

Pedro Pascal is playing Joel, while Bella Ramsey is playing Ellie. In the most recent behind-the-scenes photo, taken by Twitter user @venomnixx and shared by @NaughtyDogInfo, Sam’s face is obscured. However, fans get a fairly decent look at Henry, who many think is being portrayed by Lamar Johnson. Other evidence given for the theory is that HBO and Bella Ramsey both recently followed the actor on Instagram. What do you think?

Another video showed the quartet dashing across a road towards a building in which they can take shelter, although this footage is even less conclusive for deciding who the actors may be.

Other cast members include Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Nico Parker as Sarah, Anna Torv as Tess, Nick Offerman as Bill, Murray Bartlett as Frank, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Storm Reid as Riley, and Jeffrey Pierce as a brand new character called Perry. The TV series will stay fairly close to the events of The Last of Us game, but there will be some places where the plot will “deviate greatly” due to the different type of medium. The TV show is yet to receive a release date but is expected to air sometime in 2023.
