Announced through a post on the official PlayStation blog, these three galaxy-inspired colors for the console covers will be available in select regions. In particular, those in the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg will have early access to them starting on June 17 via direct.playstation.com. According to the product page for PS5 console covers, the three new color options will cost $54.99 and will be “available elsewhere from July 14.” That said, PlayStation recommends that customers outside of the mentioned regions check their local retailer for availability.
The PS5 DualSense controllers with the Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple options were launched earlier this year in January at various outlets. These three colors joined Midnight Black and Cosmic Red, bringing the number of color options to five.
If you’re interested in purchasing these new console covers, it is recommended that you make sure that they fit your particular PS5, as there are separate covers for the regular PS5 console and the PS5 Digital Edition console. At the time of this writing, you can also pre-order the console covers with free launch day delivery. Due to high demand, PlayStation has limited purchases for them to 1 per color per household.
As a special offer that lasts until June 30, 2022, customers will receive free shipping on any accessories purchases if they buy directly from PlayStation. So it is expected that this offer will still be available when the new console cover colors launch in the official PlayStation store.
In other news, Dying Light 3 might make players more powerful at the start of the game, and Blue Box’s Abandoned PS5 script has apparently leaked.
