The Last of Us 1 Remake Accessibility Settings and More Footage Leaked

The Last of Us 1 Remake gameplay, accessibility settings, and controller layout have leaked following yesterday’s leak showing its graphically updated opening sequence. This time, the leak came from known leaker Nick “Shpeshal_Nick” Baker, whose source has claimed that the latest leaks are from the most up-to-date build. The game will release on September 2, 2022 for the PS5 and sometime later on PC.

There are no guarantees that the videos above will still be up by the time you get to this article because Sony is busy taking them down. Baker scrubbed his tweets after they started making rounds because he apparently didn’t want his source to get in trouble. However, the internet is pretty quick to save receipts so you’ll see them pop up everywhere. We’ve thrown screenshots of the controller layout as well as the accessibility settings in the gallery below.

The images above corroborate yesterday’s leak which revealed:

  • The Last of Us Part 1 Remake has received a visual overhaul but there are no gameplay specific improvements
  • Majority of the improvements have been made in the audio and visual department
  • The Last of Us Part 1 Remake supports VRR, a 4K/40 fps Gameplay mode and 4K/60 fps Dynamic mode
  • The game will feature accessibility settings akin to those seen in The Last of Us Part II. The leaker also added that when Joel upgrades his weapons, players will be able to see him add attachments

It’s unclear how the game has leaked considering how secretive PlayStation Studios are but if The Last of Us Part II’s case is anything to go by, someone working at a third-party partner responsible for localization duties is the likely source.

In other news, Sony has struck a partnership with Spin Master for toys based on PlayStation games, and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness is apparently being added to PS Plus Premium classics lineup.
