Gran Turismo 7 August Update Patch Notes
Polyphony Digital is yet to reveal the full patch notes for the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 free August update but they have revealed a list of the new content players will be getting. The most notable of those are the four new cars. There’s the McLaren MP4/4 ’88, the car that completely dominated the 1988 F1 World Championships season thanks to the skill of driver Ayrton Senna. Next up is the Pontiac GTO ‘The Judge’ ’69, one of the top road-going muscle cars of its era in terms of presence and performance. The third car, the Porsche Cayman GT4 ’16, a track-focused sports racing car meant to rival the 911. Finally, there’s the De Tomaso Mangusta (Christian Dior), a sports car reimagined with the elegant and evolutionary brand essence of Dior.
There will also be three new layouts coming to the Circuit de Barcelona- Catalunya. The first is a no chicane layout where the chicane on the final corner has been removed to transform it into a high-speed turn. As such, the standard track layout has now been renamed to Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya GP Layout. The second new layout is the national layout where the home straight now ends in a hairpin turn, cutting through Sector 1 and half of Sector 2. Finally, the rallycross layout solely consists of Sector 3 and the infield areas to create a hybrid track of paved and unpaved surfaces, including a mid-track jump.
Finally, the ‘Abarth’ Collection will be added to the Cafe’s menu books and is available once players hit Collector Level 27. Meanwhile, the ‘Gr.2 Racing Cars’ Collection will be available from Collector Level 38. All of the above content will be added when the free August Update is released at 11 PM PT today, August 24.
