Assassin’s Creed 1 remake rumors have been corroborated by more insiders ahead of today’s Ubisoft Forward event. Fans first suspected that Ubisoft was working on a remake or remaster of the game that kicked off its tentpole franchise back in June this year. Ubisoft released a video to mark Assassin’s Creed’s 15th anniversary, which showed a clip of the game that had been visibly upgraded. At the time, many dismissed it as fans’ wishful thinking, noting that Ubisoft had merely released a CG video celebrating the franchise, but it looks like there’s more to it than that.
