The God of War Ragnarok leaks keep on coming! This time around, a list of the many different enemy (and friendly) factions has been revealed. This list not only details the faction names, but also a brief description of them, which offers a clue into how hostile they will be to Kratos.
All God of War Ragnarok enemy types
While it goes without saying that Kratos will be making many enemies in his GoW Ragnarok adventures, an actual list of the enemy (and hopefully some friendly) factions he’ll encounter has been revealed by Insider-Gaming‘s Tom Henderson:
- Aesir: The Gods that rule the Nine Realms.
- Beasts: Animals that roam in the realms as either predators or prey.
- Dwarves: Masters of forging legendary weapons and armor.
- Elves: Two factions of Light and Dark that fight to control the Light of Alfheim.
- Ethereal: Ghosts and spirits that wander between the Nine Realms.
- Humans: Scavengers.
- Jotnar: The last giants that hide to pass down their knowledge following the genocide at the hands of Odin.
- Monsters: Creatures of the Norse Myth.
- Nelwalkers: Reanimated corpses from the overflowing souls of Helheim that are cursed to walk the Nine Realms.
- Seidr: Humans that are corrupted by seior magic.
- Vanir: Gods that fought against Aesir and lost.
While the majority of these factions will undoubtedly be hostile towards Kratos, as he naturally attracts war wherever he goes, some should be friendly. In the 2018 reboot, dwarves helped Kratos on his mission, so perhaps they will prove helpful once again.
Players won’t have to wait long to meet the enemy types listed above, as God of War Ragnarok is scheduled to launch for PS5 and PS4 on November 9.
For other God of War Ragnarok leaks, here’s the reported number of hours it will take players to beat the game. Oh, and here’s the date that players will be able to pre-load the game ahead of launch.
