At long last, Konami has officially announced a Silent Hill showcase, leading to fans hoping for the announcement of a new Silent Hill game (or games) for the umpteenth time. We sincerely hope this isn’t one of those instances where everyone gets their hopes up only to end up getting a new pachinko machine, apparel, or a skateboard. Konami might find itself dealing with a colossal meltdown if that’s all folks are getting after years of rumors about new entries (though that’s hardly Konami’s fault).
The likelihood of a new Silent Hill game being announced this week
Unlike previous years, 2022 has seen assets from purported new projects leak on the internet. Considering that the info we’ve seen includes the script and a P.T.-like working demo of sorts as well as a rating board entry, an announcement of a new game or its demo won’t be too surprising. Nevertheless, we’ll find out what’s happening on Wednesday, October 19th, at 2 pm PT. That’s 5 pm ET and 10 pm BST. Use this time and date converter if you’re outside these zones.
And in case you don’t believe us, here’s the announcement straight from Konami…
In your restless dreams, do you see that town?
The latest updates for the SILENT HILL series, will be revealed during the #SILENTHILL Transmission on Wednesday, October 19th, at 2:00 PM. PDThttps://t.co/18sulbhIaR
