Insomniac Games has yet to reveal Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 release date (or window) but Microsoft claims that the game will launch in 2023. This little tidbit was spotted by folks over at Tech4Gamers in the Xbox maker’s written response to concerns put forth by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) regarding its acquisition of Activision Blizzard. We’ve seen quite a few gems in the document submitted by Microsoft, which includes its claim that Sony has blocked Call of Duty from landing on Game Pass for a number of years.
Is Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 release in 2023 possible?
Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 release date is anybody’s guess given recent delays but it seems unlikely that Insomniac Games will launch two of its full-fledged blockbusters in the same year. The developer recently confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is on track for 2023, but we’ve barely heard anything about Wolverine since its initial announcement.
“PlayStation also has a spate of first and third-party exclusive titles lined up for launch in 2023, including Spider-Man 2, Wolverine, Horizon, Final Fantasy XVI and Forspoken,” Microsoft wrote, according to Tech4Gamers (via Reddit). It looks like the company may just have thrown out a list of upcoming AAA games, with Horizon being a reference to PSVR 2 game Call of the Mountain.
