It looks like Sony Direct has accidentally shipped a God of War Ragnarok PS5 bundle to a customer, breaking the intended release date of November 9. In response to a post by prolific @Wario64 on Twitter, user @RasheedaASmith revealed that she received the GoW Ragnarok bundle, instead of getting the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 bundle she ordered. Luckily for PlayStation and Santa Monica Studio, the bundle doesn’t include a disc for the game, just a digital code voucher. So at least there will be no story spoilers from that.
Twitter user has provided proof of the shipment mistake

In addition to the picture of the bundle posted above, Smith has also provided documentation of the shipment from PlayStation Direct in response to a user saying that the picture looks “awfully fake.” The description of the order says that she received a “PS5 HW 1215 GOWR_STANDARD_US” with “GOWR” being the abbreviation for God of War Ragnarok. So this snafu from Sony Direct looks legitimate.
Smith has also stated that she will not be keeping the bundle and will be giving it to a friend, since she already has the God of War Ragnarok Collector’s Edition reserved and she’s willing to wait for the release date for it.
That said, the God of War Ragnarok PS5 bundle does look a bit lackluster, as it doesn’t include the limited edition controller or any fancy faceplate design in celebration of the game.
