Warzone 2.0 on PS5 allows for up to a 120-degree Field of View. Console players have long been relegated to a fixed FOV. But, finally, after years of demand, studios are starting to make the setting available on non-PC platforms.
Warzone 2.0 PS5 adjustable FOV settings are a big win for console gamers
The Warzone 2.0 FOV settings are a sign of the times. TVs are getting higher framerates, more features, and better latency. So, there’s no excuse for consoles not to have the same selection of visual options that PCs do, especially when the latest generation has the power to handle them.
However, a 120 FOV in Warzone 2.0 will be a bit much for most people. You’ll get a fisheye effect, and your distance vision will be affected. Most people will find the 75-100 range comfortable, but the right setting for you comes down to personal preference and how far away you are from your screen.
For some people, high FOV causes motion sickness. If this is the case, you’ll probably want to crank it down to 65. Your peripheral vision won’t be great, but you can compensate by checking corners more thoroughly.
It’s great to see the PS5 approaching parity with the PC version regarding visual settings. Hopefully, more studios will do the same.
