The latest Monster Hunter Rise update version 10.02 on PS4 and version 10.000.003 on PS5 has fixed the game’s save file issues. Players should no longer be faced with an error message that “no saved data exists” whenever they try to load their character data due to changes in how the game reads the save file.
Monster Hunter Rise Update 10.000.003/10.02 patch notes
The patch is solely focused on fixing the “no saved data exists” error. Previously, if the game detected any irregularity in a player’s saved data, such as the picture data, it would refuse to read the save file at all and would produce the error message. With the new update, the game will now read the save file as long as the character data is normal. If the game does detect a problem with the data, players will see a prompt to delete it and proceed onwards.
Capcom didn’t really explain what might cause save file issues in the first place and it’s unknown if the patch will address the root of the problem. The problem has been in the game since its digital-only release on PS5 and PS4 on January 20. Update 10.000.003/10.02 was released on February 3 and is now available for download.
