Helldivers 2 received an update over the weekend to alleviate some of its ongoing server issues, but problems persist and Arrowhead Game Studios is sorry. The game is off to a great start on both the PS5 and PC, which has ended up putting a strain on servers that the developer says it’s working hard to rectify.
Next Helldivers 2 update should fix progression issues
Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt took to Twitter to reveal that Helldivers 2’s previous “rapid fixes” did not resolve the login issue that some players are experiencing. “If, for any reason, you get the ‘Failed to connect to server’ issue it means that the maximum number of login requests for that particular minute is exceeded and/or that the servers are full and will require someone to log out before allowing new players in,” Pilestedt explained.
With increased server capacity, Arrowhead is confident that login problems will be resolved. As for the problem with rewards and progression, Pilestedt says additional server maintenance is required to fix those and the team will get back to work on this today. “Please once again accept our sincere apologies for the issues you’re facing and rest assured, we’re doing our utmost to make it right,” he added.
