It’s been one year since players finally got their hands on the Bloodborne inspired soulslike Lies of P. Introducing a unique take on the classic story Pinocchio, it garnered much praise from critics and players alike. Neowiz is celebrating the game’s anniversary with new merch as well as a glimpse of Lies of P DLC.
What are the new teases for the Lies of P DLC?
On X (formerly Twitter), Neowiz shared an image and song presumably from the upcoming Lies of P DLC. The image looks set on a dock with several shanties. The games protagonist is at the center looking towards a nearby lighthouse. The lights are on, so someone is home, but it is unknown who that might be.
The song shared on X is named “Lisrim.” It isn’t unlike other tracks from the Lies of P soundtrack. It begins with a beautiful sounding piano intro. Then the accordion pops in, which is surely the facet of track that stands out.
Lies of P director Jiwon Choi wrote a letter about the game’s first year anniversary. He mentioned Neowiz is still working hard on the upcoming DLC and thanked everyone who supported the game. He also shared some simple goals the team has for the Lies of P DLC and its sequel.
“For the DLC of the Lies of P and the sequel, we aim to do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow,” wrote Choi. “It might sound simple, but I find that sticking to the basics is anything but easy.”
Lies of P celebrates first anniversary with new merch
Neowiz and Round8 continue to celebrate Lies of P’s one year anniversary with brand new merch. The first wave of products include six shirts, two hoodies, and a hat themed after the popular soulslike. The official gear is up on official Lies of P gear store.
“It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since we launched Lies of P, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support we’ve received from the gaming community,” said Jiwon Choi, Game Director, ROUND8 Studio. “The team played a huge role in designing t-shirts that resonated with the heart of the game and items that Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio would be proud to wear. This is just the first wave of what we have planned, and we can’t wait for people to see what we’re cooking up next.”
Additionally, Neowiz collaborated with iam8bit to bring the entire Lies of P soundtrack to vinyl records. The Lies of P 3xLP, priced at $74.99, features three black and gold records containing all the music from the game. The limited edition Lies of P 7″, priced at $14.99, is a single for the track “Feel.” Both records feature album art from Dan Zollinger. Fans who want both can pick up the Lies of P Special Edition Bundle for $84.99, which is only available through October 4, 2024.
