PS5 Pro enhanced games by Xbox Game Studios

PS5 Pro Gets Enhanced Versions of 2 Microsoft Games at Launch

PS5 Pro’s release is just days away, with over 50 games set to take advantage of the new and improved hardware at launch. Among them are two incredibly popular titles from PlayStation’s “rival” Xbox Game Studios.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Diablo IV get PS5 Pro enhanced versions on console launch day

A recent post on PlayStation Blog revealed the full list of PS5 Pro enhanced games coming on the console’s launch day. The expected PS5 hits are present, including Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok, and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. A little more surprising, but still expected, are the inclusion of two Activision Blizzard titles.

PS5 Pro players can enjoy Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Diablo VI on the console’s November 7, 2024 launch. Details on how the pair of games will utilize the new hardware have yet to be revealed.

This is the first we’ve heard of a PS5 Pro enhanced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update. How the console will improve its visuals is a mystery. However, it may be safe to assume ray tracing won’t be an option just yet as it’s currently absent on PC. What should be expected is the console utilizing PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to increase its graphical fidelity while still maintaining a rock solid 60 frames per second.

The PS5 Pro enhanced version of Diablo VI was confirmed earlier last month by franchise general manager Rod Fergusson. He did not have much to say about the update, but did say details would come “at a later date.”

PS5 Pro enhancements are not exclusive to PlayStation Studios titles. Several third party games will have support for the enhanced console at launch. This includes hits like Fortnite, NBA 2K25, and Hogwarts Legacy. Anyone who wants to see what the future has in store for the console upgrade can check out this list of 80 games confirmed to receive PS5 Pro enhancements.
