Ready for a Sonic onslaught? Because here it comes. Sega has just confirmed that in addition to today’s Sonic 4: Episode 1 release, gamers can look forward to getting their fill of the blue blur yet again, in 2011.
Confirming that a new Sonic game is on the way (we kinda figured that with the word “episode”), Sega Europe executive Jurgen Post, in an interview with MCV, stated the following:
“We know we have Sonic and Football Manager this year, a new Total War next year, and a new Sonic and Virtua Tennis next year.”
Odds are we’re going to be looking at Sonic 4: Episode 2, along with a barrage unannounced Sonic content to coincide with the speedy little guy’s 20th anniversary. Let’s just pray that none of this new content bears any resemblance to the abomination that was Sonic Unleashed. We’ll be sure to bring you all the info on Sega’s re-born hero as it becomes available. In the meantime, be sure to look for our Sonic 4: Episode 1 review when it goes live later this week!
