Dear readers,
Early in the morning, PlayStation LifeStyle experienced site difficulties that resembled those of a malfunctioning site plug-in – something that happens every now and then. Hoping to fix the problem, we swiftly took the site offline for some site maintenance.
Unfortunately, it has become clear that we were the victims of a malicious attack that attempted – but failed – to put malware on the site. Due to a team of site admin that we are very proud of, we were able to contain the malware and stop it from reaching any readers.
We of course launched a full investigation into how the intrusion occurred and have patched the exploit used. We do not believe Anonymous or the people that hacked the PSN were involved, rather an unwarranted act from a single user who was spreading irrelevant, hateful propaganda in over 50 of our articles.
We would like to apologize for any inconveniences you might have felt.
Welcome Back:
As we know some members may be disgruntled at the fact that they could not get gaming news for several hours. As part of our “Welcome Back Package”, which will be rolled out across all regions, we will be offering users several promotions, that include, but are not limited to:
- Up-to-date gaming news every day, for free. Lifetime membership.
- High quality reviews for the latest games, for free. Lifetime membership.
- A promise not to give in to any threats, or post any articles that conflict with the PSLS ethos.
We hope you continue reading PlayStation LifeStyle,
Yours Sincerely,
The PlayStation LifeStyle Staff
