A Closer Look at The PS3 3D TV, Split Screen Gaming Redefined

We all knew Sony would be pushing 3D in their E3 conference, but we certainly didn’t expect this: a PlayStation branded 3D TV. With Sony planning on having over 100 3D titles available in the next year, the announcement makes perfect sense – but we’re still blown away by the unique features of the TV.

The Sony branded 24″ 3D HD display will be remarkably affordable, with a bundle including a 6 foot HDMI cable, Resistance 3 game, and 3D glasses all for $499. The glasses will be available separately for $69.

If that wasn’t good enough, the TV will show just why it is specifically made for a console: it will allow two players to see two different screens at the same time, meaning that gamers can have full-screen split-screen gameplay and that players won’t need to worry about opponents peeking at their screen. For our thoughts on the TV, be sure to read our in-depth review.

Are you going to pick up the PS3 TV? Or is 24″ too small? Let us know below.
