If the hardware sales haven’t been proof enough that the PSP is still alive and kicking, Sony wants to make sure you know it by handing you lots of games at discounted prices.
With the 3DS out and the Vita on the way many have been surprised by the PSP’s ability to continue pushing out sales, but Sony clearly has faith in the portable. They’ve decided to show their love for the continuous support received by PSP owners and offer discounts on over 100 different pieces of content on the European PlayStation Store. The sale will be broken up into two parts, with the first part starting August 24th and running until September 7th. After that an entirely new list of games on sale will be posted, which we’ll update you with when it’s released. Here’s part one of the Sony Super PSP Sale, as I have dubbed it:

Wow, that list is pretty hefty, and so are some of those discounts! Unfortunately there’s been no word of this sale making it’s way to North America, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have our fingers crossed and ears perked for word of it. The EU PSBlog also teased that a new mystery game would be revealed for the second half of the sale, which has been heavily requested. Let us know what you’d like to see, as well as if you will be picking up any of these games, or awaiting the next set of sales.
