Capcom has revealed that, in addition to the availability of Heroes and Heralds mode for free today for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, the Vita version of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will come standard with the mode. Today, via a new trailer, Capcom also confirmed two cool new features for the Vita version of the game.
The Heroes & Heralds mode is a series of battles in which players assume the role of heroes or villains in an attempt to either save the world or aid in its takeover. Gameplay is altered by Ability cards, which range from basic upgrades like speed boosts to significant changes like invisibility and the ability to pass through projectiles. The cards are based on classic Marvel and Capcom characters. They can be used for Heroes & Heralds mode online, offline, or in training mode.
Also, Capcom has revealed via the new trailer released today for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3‘s Vita version that downloadable content from the PS3 version can be shared with the PlayStation Vita version.
The Vita version can also share content with other Vita users via NEAR functionality.
