The pre-order bonuses and release date for Sony and SuperBot Entertainment’s brawler PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale have been revealed.
On the PS Blog, Associate Product Marketing Manager for Software Marketing at Sony Cristian Cardona has announced the information. First, the pre-order bonuses: gamers who pre-order PSASBR at participating retailers will receive an exclusive set of costumes for all of the characters in the game. He released artwork of the costumes for the announced roster members thus far (which can be seen below), but said that more outfits will be revealed later. Furthermore, while multiple costumes will exist for each character, the pre-order bonus costumes will only be available to those who pre-order the game.
Cardona was asked in the comments if pre-ordering the game and receiving the costumes for one version (PS3 or Vita) would enable gamers to use them in another version, even if they pick up the other version later. He said that it would be possible.
As for the game’s release date, the game will release on October 23rd of this year. Also, intriguingly, Cardona said he would have details about the pricing for the PS3 and Vita versions of the game at a later date.
The pre-order bonuses and release date aren’t the only PSASBR announcements that are going to be made today, as SuperBot will be announcing more members of the roster (in addition to some unspecified “surprises”) at EVO tonight.
