Ubisoft Announces Spartacus Legends For PSN & Xbox Live

Ubisoft has announced Spartacus Legends, a PSN/XBLA title based on the Starz television series Spartacus.

Spartacus Legends is a fighting game in development at Kung Fu Factory (Bellator: MMA Onslaught), which is currently scheduled to release in early 2013. Players will control Spartacus, Crixus, or a created gladiator, who will train inside the ludus and also compete in brutal battles inside an arena as they strive to become a legend. Gamers will have options when attacking their opponents, as the game is said to feature thousands of weapon combinations and a robust skill system. Battles can take place offline or via online multiplayer, which has support for worldwide leaderboards.

Spartacus fans looking forward to the game will be glad to know that Liam McIntyre (Spartacus) has allowed his likeness and voice to be featured in the game. He is said to be a big gamer who played early builds of the game and provided creative feedback for the game throughout its development.

Gamers can check out the game at Comic-Con at the Starz Media Booth from July 12th to the 15th.
