Update: Kristine Steimer, Community Manager for PlayStation Digital Platforms, revealed that Orc Attack “will be getting replaced by a different game” because the game itself was delayed. We’ll let you know what they announce to take its place.
Original Story: In a very interesting turn of events, Orc Attack: Flatulent Rebellion, which was originally listed as a PlayStation Plus free game for June 2013 in North America, has been removed from the upcoming lineup of titles entering the Instant Game Collection.
This news comes from Paul Sullivan, Community Manager of PlayStation Digital Platforms, who said, “A quick update for you all: the “Orcs Attack” entry was mistakenly included this week; its information was incorrect and we’ve deleted it from this month’s Plus lineup.” It’s tough to say what the issues were, but looking at the math, there were 5 games expected to enter the IGC, but only 4 were being removed (aside from the legacy titles), which could have been a problem. Or it’s also possible that Orc Attack just isn’t ready for release on PS Vita this month.
To hopefully get some information about this removal, we’ve reached out to Sony and we’ll let you know if we hear anything back.
While Orc Attack might not be happening, are you excited for Deus Ex: Human Revolution today? Let us know in the comments below.
