GTA V is the UK Retail’s Biggest Entertainment Product of 2013, Call of Duty Sales Fall Year-on-Year

Grand Theft Auto V was the biggest retail entertainment of 2013 in the UK, beating out Skyfall, FIFA and The Hobbit.

We all knew GTAV would be a huge success, with the game selling 3.67 million units, but what is perhaps more of a surprise is the fall in sales of Call of Duty. Ghosts managed just under 2 million sales, well down from Black Ops II‘s 2.7 million from last year. However, Activision did predict that sales would be down due to the next-gen transition, with the publisher saying gamers would wait for the better version.
